Outdoor Movie: Shazam Fury of the Gods

Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.

Augusta Aquatic Theme for Bike/Trike/Cycle Adventure!

Frogmen, Fish, King Neptune, and Mermaids all welcome!

Age groups: 11-15yrs and 6-10 years.

Total ride will be from Ellis St to Jays Beach Carpark and return to Ellis St.

Colour Patch Caper ‘Dodgy Bike’ Challenge

A “Dodgy Bike” challenge course will be in place for interested participants at The Colour Patch Tuner St Judging area!

Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Best dressed in both age categories
  • Most successful Dodgy Bike Challenge rider (both age groups?) and possibly any interested observers!
  • Several other prizes drawn from a hat from the names of those that have entered!

Registrations

Registrations to be made by clicking on the Booking link or by contacting the Augusta CRC on 97580002 By on the Friday 1/3/2024 with Numbers restricted to 20 participants per group!

A second group may participate should the registrations indicate enough interest!

Participant Requirements

Each participant is to demonstrate and ensure they have a:

  • Current Helmet
  • Working Brakes and Gears and adequate tread on their tyres!

Participants with Medical conditions and requiring Medications are encouraged to ride with a responsible adult!

Safety and Supervision

Group leaders with Fluoro vests will ride ahead of the group to advise the general public of the Activity taking place!

Parents to please indicate if they are available to assist with Supervision and support of those in either age bracket!

Bird Walk with Christine Wilder of Birdlife WA's Cape to Cape Bird Group

Coastal Track - Flinders Bay - Saturday 2 March 2024

Meet at 8.30am at the Augusta Boat Harbour (halfway between Flinders Bay and the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse). Look for a BirdLife sign.

The walk east along the coastal track towards Flinders Bay and return, provides the opportunity to see both bush and sea birds in this wild and unique environment.

Bring morning tea in a backpack. Wear suitable attire for easy walking, light jacket, hat, sunscreen, water. Binoculars available for those who don't have them. Toilets located at the harbour and Flinders Bay. Children to be accompanied by an adult. No pets please.

Brandie & Wise

Scott Wise is no stranger to the region, having played on numerous occasions with The Riverbugs, and the Ten Cent Shooters. An accomplished luthier and bluesman, Scott teams up with his partner, husky mezzo vocalist, Brandie Kate, for a light-hearted journey through traditional blues, light jazz and an eclectic mix of pop classics. Expect songs about love, mother-in-laws and some unusual life advice!

Sian and Bruno present a musical fusion of original and cover songs. Singing in English and French, from jazz-pop, bossa-nova and reggae music, this dynamic and sensual duo brings you on a journey that will make your heart vibrate. Si&B are both multi-instrumentalists, playing ukulele, flute, guitars, u-bass and percussion; the musicality is diverse and the grooves, hypnotic. Sian is a WAAPA trained flautist, vocalist, come ukulele player, and is back from a decade in the USA playing in a soul/funk band. Bruno has been playing his French gypsy-grooves in WA with his band SOL-R until 2017. Cultural diversity, environmental issues and social justice inspire his music, his lyrics spread messages for a better humanity, in harmony with nature.
